End of Term Notices
Couple of end of term notices:
Friday 18th is our last day of school for the year.
Next week we will be starting to send home your child's work and stationary. Could you please send your child with a supermarket/shopping plastic bag so we can name it and put all their belongings inside. This will make it easy for them to carry their things home.
This Friday will be our last swimming day!
This week will also be our last week for readers. Could your child please bring in all the readers they have at home into school on Friday. No readers will be sent home next week.
If you would like to help out with shelving all our readers next week that would be really appreciated! Let Kathryn or I know if you'd like to help with this or packing down our class.
Same goes for library books, these need to be brought back on Friday. No books can be taken out next week.
Any questions you have in terms of the year ending, please do not hesitate to ask.

Ara Teina All Star Day
We had a great day on Thursday at the Ara Teina All Star Day. The children participated in many events: bean bag throw, hurdles, long jump, sprints, three legged race, high jump, gum boot throw, and egg and spoon race. Everyone seemed to enjoy the challenges and had a fun day. We were all pretty tired in the afternoon!

Auckland Art Gallery
We had a great time at the Auckland Art Gallery today. The students had the chance to create their own art by making patterns out of different shapes. We looked at different paintings and acted out what was happening with our bodies and with pipe cleaners. It was also exciting to see "The Story of Rama" exhibit. Thank you very much to all the parent helpers we had with us. The day would not have been possible without them!!
